
Symposium of International Languages and Knowledge (SILK) is a continual project since 2014, agreed upon by three parties: Walailak University, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) with our major theme “UNITY through Diversity”. SILK focuses on bringing students, researchers, academics and practitioners around the world and sharing experiences and thoughts together.
CONFERENCE THEMES OF SILK 2022:
The conference intends to serve UNESCO’s sustainable development goal (SDG) in the area of education for sustainable development and global citizenship. SILK 2022 themes include Human Language: Resilience, Application, and Sustainability.

OBJECTIVES:
Symposium of International Languages and Knowledge aims to create impact in the territories of human language: resilience, application, and sustainability. The conference of SILK 2022 will:
- increase academic collaboration between three established universities: WU, RUTS, and UNIMAP, as well as other universities
- promote mutual understanding and expand the student exchange program and research collaboration
- enhance the integration of academic service and research as well as academic publications produced by students, researchers, educators, academics and professionals in accordance with the quality assurance standards of School of Liberal Arts, Walailak University
- strengthen collaboration among networking universities in accordance with the universities’ strategic missions, both nationally and internationally

- Contributions are invited in the forms of paper presentation
- The content must be related to conference themes
- English is strongly suggested and preferred for oral presentations
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:
- Abstracts must be submitted via email < [email protected] > by June 10, 2022.
ABSTRACT FORMAT AND PROCEDURES:
- Abstracts should be 150-200 words
- The abstract includes paper title, author’s name, author’s affiliation, abstract, and keywords.
- Together with the abstract, the presenter’s bio-data (80 words) must be attached.
- Abstracts will be anonymously reviewed.
- After the abstract is accepted, presenters will be invited to submit a full paper to be considered for inclusion in the published symposium proceedings. Submission is by July 7, 2022.
FULL PAPER SUBMISSION:
The full paper must be submitted via email < [email protected] > by July 7, 2022 for reviews. If the paper is qualified to be published in the proceedings, the final revision is requested by August 22, 2022.
FULL PAPER FORMAT:
- The full paper should be about 10-12 pages in length including appendix.
- The paper must contain the following parts: paper title, author’s name, author’s affiliation, abstract, keywords, introduction, literature review, research design (or other subheadings), results and discussion, conclusion, reference, appendix (if any), and the author’s bio-data.
- The full paper is recommended to be written in English.
