Congratulations to the English program to have hosted a fruitful academic conference on September 10, 2021. The Symposium of Undergraduate Research in English 2021, or SURE 2021 was organized by the third-year students in the International English program. The SLA Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Nibhond Tipsrinimit, presided over the opening ceremony. Professor Michael Poage, our guest lecturer, gave a keynote speech on “Literature, Language and Life!”.
The oral presentations were in three sessions: literature, linguistics, and pedagogy. Assistant Professor Dr. Anchalee Chayanuvat from Rangsit University kindly led the academic panel for discussions with the presenters, audience, scholars and instructors from the English department.
Big thanks go to the senior students who put a huge effort presenting their interesting academic work. Also, we appreciate the presence of our guests form Yala Rajabhat University – both the presenters and the audience. Lastly, we praise the junior group for their efficiency in organizing such a wonderful virtual conference. The SURE 2021 has successfully encouraged students and enhanced our academic strengths and confidence.
The event was the first in the series of School of Liberal Arts’ students showcases, and there will surely be more to follow!
