The School of Liberal Arts English program held a workshop on the topic of “Teaching English Language by Following Undergraduate Qualifications Framework” between 6 – 7 July 2021 at Meeting Room 1, Research Building. It was honored that Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong (President of Walailak University) presided over the opening of the meeting and give some suggestions on managing courses according to the University’s policy. Additionally, the program has also received useful information and policy visions from Associate Professor Dr. Charun Bunyakan (Vice President for Academic), Assistant Professor Dr. Wijittra Petchakit (Assistant to the President for Academic), Assistant Professor Dr. Poonsit Hiransai (Director of Learning and Teaching Innovation Center), and Assistant Professor Dr. Nibondh Tipsrinimit (Dean, The School of Liberal Arts).

During the two-days of workshop, the faculty members discussed and exchanged experiences with Assistant Professor Dr. Gritiya Rattanakantadilok (Chairperson of Liberal Arts Program, English Department, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkhla University) in developing curriculum and operations in various areas. Furthermore, Dr. Anchana Rukthong (Associate Dean for Educational Affairs, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkhla University) and Associate Professor Dr. Kristof Savski (lecturer of foreign languages, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkhla University) gave a special lecture on the topic “Path to Success with a Global Framework: Using CEFR for English Language Education in Thailand”, which was considered as a good opportunity for all faculty members to apply results from this workshop, and adapt it for an effective curriculum management by following the University’s policy and Undergraduate Qualifications Framework.
