The English Program, School of Liberal Arts, Walailak University, organized a Professional Translator Talk: “Translating Subtitles” on September 9, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. via Zoom. The talk was held as part of ENG67-203 English-Thai Translation to provide students with practical insights into professional translation.

 

The session featured Mr. Yuthana Ngamleerd, a professional subtitle translator, who shared his knowledge and experience in subtitling, including the challenges and considerations involved in translating subtitles for audiences.

 

The event attracted around 40 participants, providing students with an opportunity to learn directly from a professional in the field and gain a better understanding of potential career opportunities in translation and subtitling.
