English Program Students Gain International Learning Experience in Kuala Lumpur

From 8–12 August 2026, the English Program, School of Liberal Arts, Walailak University, organized an international learning experience in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for fourth-year English Program students, providing them with opportunities to extend their learning beyond the classroom and experience English in an authentic multicultural environment.

A highlight of the trip was a one-day Language and Culture class provided by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Through academic and cultural activities, students gained exposure to language use in an international setting while learning more about Malaysian society and culture.

Beyond the classroom, students explored Kuala Lumpur and its rich multicultural dynamics, experiencing firsthand the coexistence of different languages, cultures, traditions, and ways of life. The experience encouraged students to connect their English language knowledge with intercultural communication and real-world contexts.

To promote students’ access to international learning opportunities, the English Program, School of Liberal Arts, Walailak University, provided financial support covering transportation costs, student allowances, and the course fee.
