Beyond the Horizon: Walailak University Students Enhance Global Perspectives and Language Skills in Taiwan

From June 1st to 7th, 2026, the English Program organized the “Beyond the Horizon” project, taking 19 second and third-year English major students to Taiwan. Six Thai Language Program students, Asst.Prof. Dr. Patcharee Imsri, Asst. Prof.Thatdao Rakmak and Ms. Nattawan Phengboon also joined the trip.
 
The activity aimed to provide students with direct experience using English with people of diverse nationalities abroad. Examples of places visited included the National Palace Museum, National Taiwan Museum, National Taiwan Normal University, Longshan Temple, and Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Park. Students were able to plan their own itineraries to visit places that interested them.
 
In their visit to National Taiwan Normal University, students exchanged language and culture with Taiwanese students and visited learning centers and departments related to bilingual education. The event concluded with a campus tour organized by NTNU.
