English Program Holds Workshop to Enhance Research Proposal Writing for External Funding 2026

From 14-15 February 2026, The English Program, School of Liberal Arts, Walailak University, organized a two-day workshop titled “Workshop on the Development and Revision of Research Proposals for External Funding, Fiscal Year 2026” aimed to strengthen lecturers’ capacity to write competitive research proposals aligned with external funding requirements.

The workshop featured two trainers: Asst. Prof. Dr. Amporn Marddent and Mr. Ekraj Zabur. Participants included lecturers from the English Program, School of Liberal Arts.The first day opened with welcoming remarks by Dr. Kamolthip Klaibanmai, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts. Sessions focused on understanding the funding landscape and aligning research proposals with donor priorities. The trainers shared insights from their research in areas such as human trafficking, gender and culture, and language studies.

The second day features hands-on discussions on technical components of proposal writing, including the development of realistic budget narratives, evaluation plans, and indicators to measure impact and outcomes. The workshop concluded with an overview of required supporting documents and closing remarks by Ms.Thassanee Thasrabiab, Head of the English Program.
