School of Liberal Arts, Walailak University Hosts English Academy Project 2025 to Showcase Student Research

Nakhon Si Thammarat The English Program, School of Liberal Arts, Walailak University successfully organized the English Academy Project 2025, a twopart academic event aimed at promoting undergraduate research and international academic collaboration.

The first part, SURE2025 (Symposium of Undergraduate Research in English), was held on September 13, 2025, featuring oral presentations by 87 senior students. The event welcomed international guests from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines, and the University of Bengkulu, Indonesia. The keynote address, titled Research as a Life Skill, was delivered by Mr. Peeradon Sriwichit, our English Program alumnus (Batch of B.E.2558), currently a General Administrative Officer at the College of Graduate Studies (CGS), WU.

The second part, English Academy 2025 & Poster Exhibition, took place on September 19, 2025, where students showcased their research through poster presentations. Our English Program alumnus (Batch of B.E.2548) Dr. Luqman Mayi, Associate Dean for Academic, Research, and Community Affairs, Princess Naradhiwas University gave an inspiring keynote titled From Dreams to Discoveries: Empowering Your Future with Research. The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charun Bunyakan, Vice President of Walailak University, and Deputy Dean Dr. Kamontip Klaibanmai.

The English Academy Project is annually organized to serve as a vital platform for academic growth, research development, and crosscultural learning.
