Public Speaking

On July 3 and 10, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Student Affairs and Student Club Working Group of the School of Education and Liberal Arts organized a Public Speaking activity at the Integrated Academic Building, Walailak University. The event featured lectures and training sessions conducted by invited speakers.

The Public Speaking activity is designed to develop life skills (soft skills) by emphasizing the importance of communication skills. It aims to help students manage their time effectively, use their free time productively, enhance their mental well-being to inspire them throughout their studies, and foster positive relationships between students and the faculty. The activity is scheduled to take place on two occasions as follows:

The first session, held on July 3, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., featured a lecture on public speaking techniques. We were honored to have Ms. Ratchadaporn Tanthasit and Mr. Thongchai Phromchan, lecturers from the Education Program, as the speakers.

Second session: July 10, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This session involved applying the techniques from the first lecture. Students chose topics of interest and presented their speeches to their peers in the same room. A commentator provided feedback and scored the presentations.

This activity has received positive feedback from first-year students. It not only promotes life skills (soft skills) but also encourages students to express themselves confidently, share their experiences with peers, and get to know each other better.
