Ajarn Korrakot Kumhaeng, a Thai Language Program Lecturer at Walailak University, presented an article at Kasetsart University.

Ajarn Korakot Khamhaeng, a lecturer in the Thai language program at the School of Education and Liberal Arts, presented an article as part of a project honoring Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra. The presentation took place at the Agricultural Culture Museum Building, Kasetsart University, and focused on research-based academic results related to agricultural culture.
 

On Monday, September 25, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Rajanagarindra Institute of Linguistics and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Kasetsart University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Maejo University, the School of Education and Liberal Arts, Walailak University, and the Research and Development Institute, Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, organized a project to honor Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Narathiwat Rajanagarindra. The event, titled “Presentation of Research and Academic Results in Agricultural Culture,” took place at the Agricultural Culture Museum, Kasetsart University.

During this activity, Lecturer Korakot Khamhaeng, a lecturer in the Bachelor of Arts Program in Thai Language at Walailak University, presented an article titled “Beliefs and Meanings of Plowshares in Contemporary Thai Society.” This article delves into the beliefs and meanings associated with plowshares as sacred objects in modern Thai society. While plowshares were once primarily tools used in agriculture, they have evolved to become sacred symbols representing good fortune, learning, exams, and work.

The event was well-attended by lecturers, scholars, students, and individuals interested in folklore and culture. Participants had the opportunity to present their work, listen to others’ presentations, and exchange ideas for academic growth, particularly in the field of Thai agricultural culture.
