The English (International) Program organized a multinational cultural learning event (East Meets West @ Walailak University’s Halloween) on November 4, 2020, at the ground floor hall of Architecture and Design Building with students from the Institute of Liberal Arts and students from international colleges participated in the activity.
The day’s event included a debate on “Thai ghosts are scarier than western ghosts.” There is also a watermelon carving contest. Providing knowledge about Halloween, for example, is an activity that encourages students to have the opportunity to learn multinational cultures and important festivals of countries where English is spoken as the official language as well.
